About the Job
We are seeking an Acute Care Surgeon to join our Trauma and Critical Care team at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center. This position offers a mix of 8, 16, and 24-hour shifts, including weekends, with approximately 5 night shifts per month. You will be part of a hospital-employed group of surgeons and physician assistants who provide 24/7 trauma, critical care, and emergency general surgery coverage.
Responsibilities
- Provide surgical care to critically ill patients in the ICU
- Participate in the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
Candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. J1 waiver applicants are welcome to apply.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $400,000 - $600,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a robust compensation and benefits package, including student loan reimbursement programs, relocation bonus, sign-on bonus, generous PTO benefits, and leadership opportunities.
