Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon Opportunity in Maine with Comprehensive Pediatric Care

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center seeks a highly skilled pediatric orthopedic surgeon to join our hospital-employed practice. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional care to children from birth through adolescence, addressing a wide range of conditions including slipped capital femoral epiphysis, pediatric fracture care, and congenital deformity.
About the RoleThis full-time opportunity offers a challenging and rewarding experience with a typical schedule consisting of 2-3 clinic days and 2 OR days per week. You will be responsible for pediatric orthopedic call, working closely with our experienced support staff, including sports medicine, orthopedic trauma, and orthopedic oncology teams.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive pediatric orthopedic care, encompassing general pediatric orthopedics, subspecialty specific pediatric care, and surgical expertise
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including surgery, pediatric anesthesiology, neonatology, gastroenterology, neurology, cardiology, infectious disease, endocrinology, genetics, ophthalmology, developmental pediatrics, and child life services
- Participate in teaching and research opportunities, promoting professional growth and development
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship training in pediatric orthopedics
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate approach to pediatric patient care
- Desire to become part of a multidisciplinary pediatric care team
