Job Description

**Job Title:** App Developer for Project Friendship

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced App Developer to join our team at St. Olaf College. The successful candidate will work on developing an app for Project Friendship, a community-based work study program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work independently on app development with the guidance of a professional developer mentor
  • Offer creative ideas and solutions to the development and function of the app
  • Develop and implement a plan for continuous support of the app
  • Bring the app development into completion using existing systems and technologies
  • Complete necessary tasks in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • Programming experience in JavaScript, ReactNative, Expo, Node Express, and RESTful API server development
  • Familiarity with SQL databases, such as Postgres or MySQL
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Overall interest in computer programming

Working Environment:

The App Developer will work remotely from campus and have access to a computer and internet. Meetings with the professional developer will take place via Zoom.
