Job Summary

Roxbury Tenants of Harvard (RTH) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Resident Services team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in empowering residents to live independently and self-sufficiently while maintaining their dignity and autonomy.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, management, and community agencies. A strong understanding of resources in the Boston area and experience navigating regional non-profit and government agencies is essential.

We are committed to creating a safe and supportive living environment for our residents, and we believe that our Resident Services Coordinator will be instrumental in achieving this goal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inform residents of available resources and assist them in obtaining chosen services
  • Advocate on behalf of residents when necessary, ensuring their rights and dignity are respected
  • Develop linkages with community service organizations and programs to enhance resident services
  • Stay current on available community resources, federal, state, and local programs, and fulfill required education and training requirements
  • Act as a liaison between residents, management, and the community, promoting resident empowerment and self-advocacy
Requirements
  • MSW or LCSW required; LICSW preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish speaker required
  • Excellent oral and written communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Experience working in an urban, community setting, preferably in housing
  • Experience working with families of diverse ages, races, and abilities
  • Strong leadership and community-building skills
  • Understanding of resources in the Boston area and experience navigating regional non-profit and government agencies
