Job Description

Position: Facility Security Officer


Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI


Location: Arlington, VA


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a key support to the Government Personnel Security Officer for the organization.
  • Oversee all necessary actions to secure and maintain accreditations for facility spaces.
  • Interpret and apply government security regulations effectively.
  • Establish and enforce control procedures for sensitive information to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare and submit required reports to relevant government entities.
  • Facilitate the security clearance process for staff members.
  • Conduct briefings and debriefings for personnel regarding security protocols.
  • Ensure that all staff, consultants, and subcontractors understand the requirements for maintaining security clearances.
  • Deliver security briefings and presentations as mandated.
  • Coordinate with government agencies concerning security clearances and classified visits.
  • Implement appropriate controls for managing classified documents and hardware.
  • Manage all processes related to CAC issuance.
  • Provide guidance on Information Systems Security requirements.
  • Review classification specifications for contracts and subcontracts as necessary.
  • Supervise the activities of the security team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess a CURRENT/ACTIVE TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience as a Facility Security Officer in a governmental context.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a demanding workload while prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with excellent multitasking capabilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage large volumes of data, files, and schedules efficiently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of conducting interviews and preparing detailed reports.
  • Effective team player with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledgeable in security principles, concepts, and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with administrative regulations related to security compliance.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.

Security Pre-Requisite: A CURRENT/ACTIVE TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance is mandatory for consideration.


Office Location and Travel: Position based in Arlington, VA with no travel requirements.
