About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Automation Service Specialist to join our team at Siemens Industry, Inc. in Cincinnati, OH. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and support to our customers, ensuring their building automation systems are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute digitalization and standard service operations strategies to optimize building performance and energy efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal service team members, including Service Sales, Client Service Managers, Service Coordinators, and RAM Digital Service Center personnel, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Follow safety requirements and successfully complete assigned training to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Follow mandatory policies, procedures, and standards, and maintain tools and test equipment to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Support after-hours service calls during on-call rotation and respond to emergency service calls as assigned.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on all automation system types, and complete service ticket documentation per policy.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of services performed and generate reports within Siemens tools.
  • Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper system operations and assist with training.
  • Identify and report system discrepancies, suggest system upgrade opportunities, and assist in pricing of repairs and upgrades to existing agreements.
  • Work overtime when needed, and participate in job site final walks and/or final completion for systems-to-service turnover on assigned jobs.
Requirements
  • Electro-mechanical experience (either in a previous role or through education) and user PC/software skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a variety of circumstances, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high lift equipment, working in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, and in various conditions.
  • Must be able and willing to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet, as well as carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime when needed.
  • Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED.
  • Experience with Niagara/Tridium.
  • Experience with Andover Controls.
  • Specialized skill training/certification.
  • Experience installing and servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment.
  • Knowledge of building automation systems, PLCs, HVAC, electrical concepts, and building operations.
  • Engineering and programming (PLC or BMS) background.
  • Knowledge of building system communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP).
