Position Overview:
Nurse Practitioners at Central Indiana Orthopedics engage in medical practice under the guidance of a licensed physician. This role involves direct collaboration with a highly qualified physician in the field of pain management.

Ideal Candidate:
The preferred candidate will possess prior experience, particularly in the areas of spine and pain management. The supervising physician is a board-certified specialist with extensive training in interventional pain management techniques, focusing on both acute and chronic pain conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive medical assessments and physical examinations of patients.
  • Collaborate with physicians to address both immediate and ongoing medical needs.
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures.
  • Administer medications and perform minor procedures as per established protocols.
  • Manage patient inquiries and provide emergency care as necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and medication usage.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and uphold necessary certifications.
  • Participate in organizational meetings and contribute to team initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
Applicants must have completed an accredited nursing program (Bachelor's degree) and hold a valid nursing license. Certification from the ANA and current BLS certification are mandatory. A minimum of one to two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred, with a focus on spine and pain management being advantageous.

Work Environment:
This position is situated within a clinical setting, which may involve exposure to various health-related conditions. The role requires physical stamina, including prolonged standing and mobility. Candidates should be prepared for occasional lifting and the ability to manage stressful situations or irregular hours. Regular travel between office locations may be necessary, along with frequent interaction with colleagues and patients.
