Indiana University Health is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to become a vital part of our esteemed General Surgery team.
Position Highlights
- Day Shift with no on-call responsibilities
- Collaborate with a skilled team of 7 Physicians and 4 Advanced Practice Providers
- Focus exclusively on inpatient care
Core Responsibilities
- Manage inpatient trauma and acute surgical cases
- Handle an expected patient load of approximately 50-60 inpatient visits weekly, with outpatient responsibilities to be determined
- Perform basic bedside procedures as required
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a relevant field
- Current certification as ACNP, FNP, or PA
- Active or eligible for licensure in Indiana
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in an inpatient Advanced Practice Provider role, preferably in a hospitalist or surgical setting
- Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong communication skills and critical thinking abilities, aligned with the values of Indiana University Health
