Job Summary

PCSI is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems at our facility. The successful candidate will lead a team of 8+ personnel and be responsible for ensuring the quality of work and compliance with contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including overhead and underground medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution systems, transformers, substations, switchgear, motor control centers, electrical panels, secondary distribution systems, photovoltaic systems, exterior lighting, traffic signal controllers, lightning protection systems/arrestors, auxiliary generators, uninterrupted power supply systems, and fire suppression/alarm systems.
  • Manage the section's training program and lead task training in partnership with the Training Manager; responsible for currency of employees' certifications/licenses.
  • Train employees on site processes and contract requirements: how to properly complete daily timecards, purchase requisitions, maintenance action records, etc.
  • Ensure employees comply with company and site requirements for proper care and maintenance of government and company property; conduct spot checks to ensure quality control.
  • Enforce requirements of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Employee Handbook, and local site policies; participates in interviewing, employee recognition, and disciplinary actions.
  • Work with the Environmental Heath & Safety Manager to enforce safety standards/policies; participate in incident investigations and recommends/implements corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure section's work meets or exceeds quality standards and is completed with in-house labor to the maximum extent possible.
  • Determine spare parts required to be on-hand in bench stock and coordinates with the Supply Manager to ensure availability of parts when needed; ensure employees follow local supply chain management policies.
  • Reply to client's request for information timely; justifies requests to convert job orders to project-level work.
  • Help develop project-level work estimates, and provides manpower to execute approved project work.
  • Utilize computer systems and various reports to prioritize and assign work, and briefs the Operations Manager on delinquent work.
  • Develop/utilize reports to measure performance against quality standards; ensure reports and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs) are completed to standards, submitted on time, and filed properly.
  • Manage section's preventive maintenance (PM) program.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required, some college preferred.
  • Minimum 3- 5 years experience in an electrical field required.
  • 1-2 years prior supervisory or leadership experience in facility O&M preferred.
  • Experience in a like position at an installation or facility of similar size, scope, and complexity is highly desirable.
  • Electrical journeyman license or NICET certification a plus.
  • Certified Facility Manager, Facility Management Professional, or prior construction management experience desirable.
What We Offer
  • Base pay of $85,000-90,000 depending upon experience.
  • Annual bonus of up to 6%.
  • 21 days of PTO per year, in addition to all federal holidays.
