Avancez Assembly is seeking a skilled Electrical Controls Specialist to provide technical support for new controls systems installations in manufacturing and assembly plants. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical and pneumatic/control systems and the ability to apply these concepts within the manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and direct procedures and methods to ensure quality standards are met and compile and analyze operational test data to resolve performance issues.
- Perform controls troubleshooting and confer with controls engineers and other team members to resolve problems.
- Provide technical information concerning calibration, programming, and machine setup.
- Install design modifications as required.
- Maintain critical environmental and process controls.
- Maintain project documents using approved methodology, tools, and templates.
- Participate on project teams supporting activities related to controls issues.
- Analyze test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
- A mindful eye to personal safety concerns (Lock-out tag out practices).
- Provide support to Controls Engineer as requested.
- Assist in the development and training of plant maintenance personnel in the area of controls systems.
- Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years progressive controls experience in an automotive manufacturing or assembly facility.
