Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Ottawa Family Physicians. This role is essential in delivering high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer a variety of diagnostic radiology examinations while prioritizing patient care and safety.
  • Engage with patients and staff in a professional and effective manner.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance and utilization of imaging equipment and supplies in accordance with state regulations.
  • Complete assigned examinations and compile data for review by the Radiologist or Physician, while accurately processing exam charges.
  • Maintain thorough and precise patient records, documenting all relevant information.
  • Review patient medical history and secure necessary orders for procedures.
  • Utilize available resources to uphold the highest standards of care within Imaging Services.
  • Assist Radiologists as required during imaging procedures.
  • Receive training to conduct DEXA and Bone Density Studies.
  • Apply knowledge of imaging techniques and positioning to ensure optimal patient outcomes while adhering to ALARA principles.
  • Employ appropriate equipment and supplies for surgical and diagnostic exams, including those requiring contrast or barium.
  • Deliver care tailored to the specific population served in accordance with established policies.
  • Follow the outlined standards of care as per the Medical Director of Imaging Services.
  • Maintain all necessary certifications, licensure, and competencies relevant to the role.
  • Uphold the confidentiality of all patient information.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • ARRT (RT) registration required.
  • State licensure (LRT) in Kansas must be obtained within six months of employment.
  • BLS certification is mandatory.
