Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Ottawa Family Physicians. This role is essential in delivering high-quality imaging services while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic radiology examinations with a strong focus on patient care and safety.
  • Engage professionally with patients and staff, ensuring clear communication throughout the imaging process.
  • Utilize and maintain the necessary equipment and supplies to conduct examinations in accordance with state regulations.
  • Accurately complete exams and compile data for review by Radiologists or Physicians, ensuring proper documentation and billing procedures.
  • Maintain comprehensive patient records, documenting relevant information meticulously.
  • Review patient histories and secure appropriate orders for imaging procedures.
  • Leverage available resources to uphold the highest standards of care within Imaging Services.
  • Assist Radiologists as required during procedures to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Receive training in DEXA and Bone Density Studies to expand skill set.
  • Apply knowledge of positioning and imaging techniques while adhering to ALARA principles.
  • Utilize appropriate tools and supplies for conducting surgical and diagnostic exams, particularly those involving contrast or barium.
  • Deliver care tailored to the specific needs of the patient population served.
  • Follow established standards of care as outlined in relevant policies and procedures.
  • Maintain necessary certifications, licensure, and professional competencies.
  • Ensure confidentiality and privacy of all patient information.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the department.

Qualifications:
  • ARRT (RT) registration is required.
  • State licensure (LRT) in Kansas must be obtained within six months of employment.
  • BLS certification is mandatory.
