Position Overview:
We are seeking a PRN Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Ottawa Family Physicians. This role is essential in delivering high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer a variety of diagnostic radiology examinations with a strong focus on patient care, ensuring procedures are conducted proficiently, efficiently, and safely.
  • Engage professionally with all patients and healthcare team members.
  • Utilize and maintain the necessary equipment and supplies to perform imaging procedures in accordance with state regulations.
  • Complete assigned examinations and compile data for review by the Radiologist or Physician, ensuring accurate charge generation in the Radiology information system.
  • Maintain comprehensive patient records, documenting all relevant information accurately.
  • Review patient medical histories and confirm appropriate orders for imaging.
  • Leverage available resources to uphold the highest standards of care within Imaging Services.
  • Assist the Radiologist as required during procedures.
  • Receive training to conduct DEXA and Bone Density Studies.
  • Apply knowledge of imaging techniques and positioning, ensuring adherence to ALARA principles.
  • Utilize appropriate tools and supplies for surgical and diagnostic imaging, assisting the Radiologist with contrast or barium studies as needed.
  • Deliver care tailored to the specific population served, following established policies and procedures.
  • Comply with standards of care as outlined by the Medical Director of Imaging Services.
  • Maintain necessary certifications, licensure, and competencies related to the role.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all patient information.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • ARRT (RT) registration required.
  • State of Kansas licensure (LRT) to be obtained within six months of employment.
  • BLS certification is mandatory.
