Overview:
Welcome to the Nephrology department, where we provide care for a diverse range of patients, including those with chronic kidney diseases, individuals undergoing dialysis, and post-operative Urology patients, such as those recovering from prostatectomies and nephrectomies, as well as patients who have received Kidney/Pancreas transplants.
Compensation:
Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus of $2000, contingent upon a one-year work commitment. The starting wage for this role is $18.43 per hour, with potential increases based on relevant experience. Additionally, a $2.25 per hour differential is available for those working the third shift.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) is responsible for delivering safe and effective basic care to patients. This includes monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, collecting specimens, and observing patients for any physical or emotional changes.
Additional responsibilities encompass documenting essential information in patient records, collaborating with fellow Patient Care Team members to ensure seamless care, and potentially providing constant supervision to patients as required. Duties may vary based on departmental needs and expectations.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers
BLS Certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Six months of experience in a clinical healthcare setting
- Six months of experience addressing the physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs of patients
