Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to join our team at Monument Health. As a Radiological Technologist, you will work in a Level II trauma hospital setting, performing and interpreting radiology exams under the direction of a Radiologist. You will be responsible for acquiring the proper exam for the Radiologist's interpretation, operating radiological equipment, and working with patients in various age groups and environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and interpret radiology exams, including fluoroscopy and portable exams
  • Work with patients in various age groups and environments, including pediatric, geriatric, and critical care settings
  • Operate radiological equipment, including c-arms and fluoroscopy machines
  • Prepare patients and equipment for exams, educate patients on exam prep instructions, and obtain correct orders and paperwork for records
  • Enter exams into the Radiology Information System, schedule radiology exams, and communicate with Medical Staff as requested
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
  • Understand and use radiologic safety to minimize radiation to patients and staff
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent: General Studies
  • Graduate - Radiology Program
  • Certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Certification - American Heart Association (AHA); Radiologic Technologist (RT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of Radiographer Experience
  • Certification - Radiologic Technologist (RT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Physical Requirements

Heavy work - exerting up to 25 pounds of force constantly, and/or up to 50 pounds frequently, and/or up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects. Possible exposure to radiation and frequent exposure to contaminated needles and infectious body substances.
