We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician to join our team at Northern Light Acadia Hospital, a leading provider of comprehensive behavioral health services. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the care and well-being of our patients.
About the Role:The successful candidate will assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal care, and aid in recovery with a focus on social, emotional, and physical wellbeing. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:* Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being and report changes in behavior or physical ailments to professional staff.* Respond to patient needs taking into consideration developmental stage and psychiatric symptoms.* Maintain a safe environment complying with Northern Light Health policies and procedures; reports and directly addresses environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed.

Education:* High School Diploma/General Educational Development (GED) required.
Working Conditions:* Potential exposure to abusive and/or aggressive people.* Work with computers, typing, reading or writing.* Extend body and limbs to reach items.* Prolonged periods of standing.* Prolonged periods of walking.* Lifting, moving and loading less than 20 pounds.
