Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at WhatJobs. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for reviewing, balancing, and posting corporate financial data into the general ledger accounts to ensure accurate balances are reflected in the financial statements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, balance, and post corporate financial data from multiple systems into the General Ledger
- Analyze and reconcile complex Balance Sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepant items timely and accurately
- Prepare, reconcile, and post accounting transactions
- Research questions about financial information, and post correcting entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Work on complex accounting concepts, including foreign exchange, intercompany, ASC 842, ASC 606, and other items as they arise
- Collaborate with acquired entities on their business processes to ensure consistency with internal accounting policies
- Review Profit and Loss statements for each entity and operating location
- Assist in the preparation and review of Form 10-Qs and Form 10-K supporting schedules
- Serves as backup support to other team members
- Recommend and help develop and implement workflow improvements
- Identify issues and bring inconsistencies and problems to the attention of management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- CPA is preferred, public accounting experience is preferred
- 5+ years accounting experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Working knowledge of SAP and/or Blackline is preferred
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written form
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Possess strong quantitative and analytical skills with attention to details, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates deep understanding of how to apply U.S. GAAP to General Ledger accounting
- Executes effectively by using resources efficiently, meeting deadlines, and keeping others informed of work plans and progress toward goals
- Ability to read and interpret documents, spreadsheets, emails, and instructions
