Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Education Specialist/Assistant to join our team at the Boys & Girls Club Crescent Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising activities and programs that promote the education and development of our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage the education program to help youth prepare for the future and provide opportunities for educational enhancement.
  • Implement curriculum and provide guidance and role modeling to members.
  • Design and implement colorful and informative displays and bulletin boards promoting program areas.
  • Assist in the execution of national projects and exhibits.
  • Mentor and inspire youth, adults, and volunteers in the creative process.
  • Keep records of participants, schedules, attendance, and program results.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for members.
Requirements
  • College degree in Youth Development or related field and 3-4 years of program delivery experience.
  • Certified Teachers.
  • High School Diploma/GED/College Degree or working towards college degree from an accredited college/university and 1-2 years program delivery experience.
  • Non-certified teachers/School staff.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BI-LINGUAL IN ENGLISH/SPANISH A PLUS.
  • Ability to deal effectively with staff and youth.
  • Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of youth development.
Working Conditions

After-school/recreational settings that include being in/out doors. Occasional weekend work to support organization's fundraising events, and activities.
