Fire Sprinkler System Inspector

Ellis Fire Suppression Inc. is a leading provider of fire protection services, and we are seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler System Inspector to join our team. As a Fire Sprinkler System Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and residential properties.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant fire codes, safety standards, and manufacturer's requirements.
  • Identify and document any deficiencies, impairments, or code violations within the fire sprinkler systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on fire sprinkler systems as needed.
  • Create detailed inspection reports outlining findings, actions taken, and recommendations for corrective measures.
  • Communicate with building owners, managers, and contractors to discuss inspection findings and remediation plans.
  • Keep accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs performed.
  • Stay up to date with changes in fire codes and industry standards.
  • Participate in training programs and obtain required certifications to maintain qualifications.
  • Assist in developing and implementing inspection schedules and maintenance programs.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in fire protection systems preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience inspecting fire sprinkler systems.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) codes and standards.
  • Valid Massachusetts Sprinkler Journeyman license.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and different weather conditions.
