About the Role

Huntington Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team in the Hematology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform standardized tests and procedures, as well as clerical and quality assurance tasks, to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Work independently and assist in workflow coordination, in-service, and orientation to maintain a smooth laboratory operation.
  • Meet CLIA criteria for General Supervisor and Testing Personnel to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Be prepared to work flexible hours as needed to meet the demands of the laboratory.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
  • Relevant experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, including CLIA personnel requirements.
  • Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) License from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) or Clinical Microbiologist Scientist (CMS) License from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to multitask and adhere to specific protocols to ensure accurate and reliable results.
Work Environment

This is a regular, full-time position with a shift in the evenings.
