About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Bayhealth's Kent Campus. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

Job Summary

The Primary Care Nurse Practitioner will work independently and collaboratively with physicians to provide comprehensive physical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of both chronic and episodic disorders. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper illness and injury care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

Main Responsibilities
  • Prescribe pharmaceuticals according to age, chronic medical conditions, allergies, drug interactions, and duration of therapy.
  • Perform routine and specialty physical exams and document specific age-related preventative health screening.
  • Educate and counsel patients to promote wellness, addressing and providing resources for health risk behaviors.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests for patients and provide appropriate referrals or consultations.
  • Perform technical and surgical procedures for patients as necessary.
  • Manage workers' compensation cases, reviewing full work-related incidents and prescribing appropriate plans of care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Credential(s): Nurse Practitioner; Nurse Practitioner - Controlled Substances Registration; Basic Life Support.
  • No experience necessary, but preferred candidates will have three years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a similar area of practice.

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $132,953.60 - $221,457.60.
