We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Bayhealth. This is a Per Diem position, offering variable shifts.

About the Role:

This opportunity involves working independently and in collaboration with physicians to provide comprehensive physical examinations, diagnoses, and treatments for both chronic and episodic disorders. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper illness and injury care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment and Care: Accurately perform history and physicals for patients, utilizing sound clinical judgment based on best practices when implementing therapeutic regimens.
  • Documentation and Communication: Document all care provided, including pharmacological dispensing, in an accurate manner. Complete patient discharge planning and education, writing appropriate orders and prescriptions.
  • Patient Progress Evaluation: Evaluate patient progress toward attaining expected outcomes, evaluating effectiveness of interventions in relation to outcomes, and documenting patient response to interventions.
  • Medical Record Management: Maintain accurate, legible, and confidential medical records in accordance with federal and state laws.

Requirements:

  • Certifications and Education: Delaware State Certification/License as an Advanced Practice RN, Controlled Substances Registration, Basic Life Support, and a Master's Degree in Nursing with a Certificate Program in Nurse Practitioner.
  • Experience: Two years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a physician practice setting, with a preference for three years of experience in a specific area of practice (e.g., Oncology office).

Benefits and Compensation: Our estimated salary range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000 per year, commensurate with experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including opportunities for professional growth and development.
