As a part-time Adjunct Instructor of Chemistry, you will have the opportunity to teach and mentor students in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and expertise with others.
Essential Functions- Teach and conduct assigned undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses and seminars in Chemistry.
- Provide academic guidance and support to students, including evaluating student coursework and advising on academic matters.
- Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of your responsibilities, such as developing curriculum and participating in departmental meetings.
- Stay up-to-date with developments in the field of Chemistry and incorporate relevant research and best practices into your teaching.
- Other related duties as assigned.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An academic degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Previous teaching experience, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment.
