Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at George J. Igel & Co., Inc. As a key member of our truck shop, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining passenger, light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Diagnose: Conduct thorough inspections of trucks to identify issues and diagnose problems.
  • Repair and Maintain: Perform repairs and maintenance on trucks, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Utilize Diagnostic Tools: Use scan tools and shop repair software to assist in diagnosis and repair of vehicles.
  • Work Orders and Documentation: Create and complete work orders using tablets and maintain accurate records.
  • Facility Maintenance: Ensure the shop facility and personal workspaces are clean and free of clutter.
  • DOT Inspections: Perform annual DOT inspections to ensure compliance.
Requirements
  • A CDL is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain CDL within six months of hire is essential.
  • Ability to pass a drug test.
