The Role

The Test Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our electro-mechanical systems. Key responsibilities include:
  • Performing assembly, calibration, and testing of circuits, components, and mechanical assemblies
  • Working with electrical, electro-mechanical, and mechanical test fixtures
  • Building and testing equipment to specifications, methods, and procedures
  • Preparing technical reports and recommending solutions to technical problems
  • Investigating Bills of Material, reviewing specifications, and executing jobs successfully
  • Collaborating with the New Product Introduction team to deploy testing technology and practices

What You'll Achieve

In the first three months, you'll complete onboarding, understand our product, and be able to build, calibrate, and test with minimal oversight. By six months, you'll have built and shipped multiple instruments that meet stringent quality standards. At 12+ months, you'll actively support the growth of our operations team, driving quality improvements and mentoring other technicians.

Qualifications

We're looking for a highly skilled individual with:
  • 5+ years of experience testing and troubleshooting highly engineered capital equipment
  • Strong proficiency in Power Meters, Oscilloscopes, and Digital Multimeters
  • Ability to install and configure computer hardware, software, and networking
  • Knowledge of common hand tools, industry nomenclatures, and assembly skills
  • Self-starter mentality and initiative in process improvement
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets and data analysis
