Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and driven Construction Project Manager with significant expertise in managing public sector contracts and large-scale construction initiatives. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong history of overseeing project timelines, financial plans, and quality benchmarks, ensuring that all assignments are completed punctually, within defined parameters, and cost-effectively. A PMP certification is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring all project goals are achieved.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination with government entities, contractors, subcontractors, and other relevant parties.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to guarantee project outputs meet established standards.
  • Create and uphold comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, and budgets, to evaluate and track project performance.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor project advancement, identifying and addressing any challenges or concerns. Travel may be required.
  • Ensure adherence to all governmental regulations, safety protocols, and quality assurance measures.
  • Maintain project documentation, including blueprints, schematics, and other pertinent materials.
  • Prepare and deliver regular updates on project progress to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Utilize various software tools to collaborate with project team members and manage project documentation.
  • Identify and address potential risks, implementing effective strategies to resolve project challenges.
  • Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in construction project management, particularly with a focus on public sector contracts.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage intricate construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Strong knowledge of governmental regulations and compliance standards in the construction sector.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
