Position Overview

Role Summary:
The Ranch Manager II will oversee all operations and activities related to the assigned fryer ranch. This includes ensuring optimal conditions for the fryers and maintaining the ranch facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise all ranch operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality are met.
  • Oversee the growth and health of fryers by managing brooding, temperature control, ventilation, and health protocols.
  • Coordinate with maintenance to ensure ranch facilities are well-kept and functional.
  • Implement strict sanitation practices and monitor bird health, reporting any issues to the Field Supervisor.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies affecting the flock at any time.
  • Control production costs, including labor, supplies, and maintenance expenses.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of ranch activities, including feed usage, mortality rates, and energy consumption.
  • Provide training and delegate tasks to ranch personnel, ensuring adherence to safety and animal welfare standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in turkey farming and completion of the Turkey Grow Out Training Program.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities.
  • Proficient in mathematics and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in Basic English.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Mechanical aptitude is preferred.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized ranch environment.
