Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavior Therapy Technician to join our team at The Veterinary Behavior Center. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our clients and their pets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians during appointments and provide scribing services as needed
  • Execute personalized treatment plans for patients with behavioral challenges, utilizing positive reinforcement based training protocols
  • Handle prescription requests, client communications, and patient scheduling with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Work collaboratively with our team to ensure seamless client experiences and optimal patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of positive reinforcement based training protocols and ability to learn our specific protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other team members
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Emotional intelligence and tact, with a healthy and positive attitude
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to learn our software systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • KPA-CTP or Jean Donaldson Academy for Dog Trainers CTC certification, or equivalent experience and commitment to science-based methodologies
  • Prior experience working one-on-one with clients and their pets using positive reinforcement training techniques
