We are seeking a highly skilled Urology Nurse Specialist to join our team at New York Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create individualized care plans for patients under your supervision and care.
  • Recognize and treat cancer-related issues.
  • Monitor and chart vital signs, weight, and height.
  • Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge.
  • Conduct cancer research to enhance treatment protocols assigned to cancer patients.
  • Provide supportive resources to patients and their families to promote a positive outlook.
  • Inform patients and their families of treatment expectations.
  • Monitor patient progress and chart responses to treatment and medication.
  • Complete medication administration records after treatment.
  • Provide patients with specific discharge instructions and emergency contact information.
Requirements:
  • Valid NYS RN licensure.
  • At least 1 year of experience in oncology outpatient and at least 1 year of experience in administering medications.
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Good computer literacy.
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish a plus.
  • Reliable transportation for travel essential.

We offer a competitive salary up to $60 per hour, based on experience and education, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including tuition reimbursement, health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability, 401(k) plan, generous PTO time, and 8 paid holidays.
