Job Overview: The Oncology Product Specialist is responsible for promoting and selling oncology products to healthcare professionals specializing in oncology. This role involves managing a designated territory to nurture existing relationships, devise strategies for acquiring new clients, and achieve both district and corporate sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of product clinical effectiveness.
  • Communicate a compelling value proposition to clients and provide support for patient and reimbursement inquiries, while consistently meeting or exceeding sales objectives.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring a high-level engagement with stakeholders.
  • Utilize strategic thinking to create and sustain an active customer database.
  • Exhibit in-depth understanding of clinical and technical aspects related to promoted products and disease management.
  • Master key account management techniques and best practices to drive sales growth.
  • Formulate well-structured business plans with appropriate resource allocation to achieve significant business outcomes.
  • Analyze market trends, product knowledge, and technical issues to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with decision-makers and opinion leaders in the field.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
  • Proactively share resources and best practices to enhance business performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Significant experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical sales, particularly in oncology, is essential.
  • Proven negotiation skills and a track record of consistently achieving sales targets.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, including overnight and weekend trips.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Science or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in oncology sales is highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of consultative selling experience is advantageous.
  • Strong clinical knowledge across various tumor types is preferred.
  • Familiarity with scientific research and clinical trials is a plus.
