Job Summary:
Cancer Care Northwest is seeking a highly skilled Oncology Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to oncology patients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and effective drug therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate chemotherapy and infusion treatment plans for accuracy and appropriateness, ensuring seamless patient care.
- Verify medication orders for safety and effectiveness, maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians in preparing medications, promoting a culture of excellence.
- Recommend therapy modifications for optimal results, driving patient outcomes.
- Participate in developing pharmacist-driven protocols, contributing to the advancement of oncology care.
- Provide drug information to healthcare professionals, fostering collaboration and education.
- Assist with investigational drug trials, staying at the forefront of emerging treatments.
- Manage drug shortages and inventory, ensuring seamless patient care.
- Maintain compliance with regulations, upholding the highest standards of patient care.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, with a strong foundation in oncology.
- Current pharmacist licensure in Washington, with a commitment to ongoing education.
- Minimum of two years' pharmacy experience, with a proven track record of success.
- At least one year of oncology experience, with a deep understanding of cancer care.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pharmacy Specialty Board Certification, demonstrating expertise in oncology.
- PGY-2 in oncology, with advanced knowledge and skills.
- Experience with Epic EHR, with a strong understanding of electronic health records.
Compensation and Benefits:
Cancer Care Northwest offers a competitive salary range of $134,091 - $187,727, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth and development.
