NICU Registered Nurse Job Description

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to critically ill newborns and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized care to patients in the NICU, including level II and level III infants.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved nursing school with current registration in Massachusetts.
  • Current level II or III NICU experience required.
  • Membership in professional organizations is recommended, and certification in a specialty area is encouraged.
