About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team at Vignetic. As a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our trading systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test Planning and Execution: Participate in the execution of the testing process in compliance with the Quality Assurance testing plan, ensuring that all testing activities are completed on time and within budget.
  • Automated Testing Tools: Manage, enhance, and update the proprietary automated testing tools and environment to ensure its smooth operation, ensuring that all testing tools are up-to-date and functioning correctly.
  • Test Case Generation and Validation: Proactively participate in the review process of functional specifications and interface specifications for the purpose of test planning and generating test cases, ensuring that all test cases are comprehensive and accurate.
  • Test Planning and Traceability: Participate in the generation and validation of test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices, ensuring that all testing activities are properly documented and tracked.
  • Test Case Failure and Remediation: Track test case failures, track remediation efforts, and validate the results, ensuring that all issues are properly addressed and resolved.
Organizational Structure

The Quality Assurance Analyst will report to the Trading System Development management team and work closely with the QA leads and team members, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.

Qualifications
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Effective analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for this role, as you will be working with complex trading systems and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Quality Assurance Experience: Experience in Quality Assurance testing process and best practices is required, as well as experience using the LINUX command line interface and shell scripting languages such as Bash.
  • CI/CD and DevOps Experience: Experience in setting up and managing build jobs on CI/CD or DevOps tools such as Jenkins is also required.
  • Scripting Languages: Knowledge of other scripting languages like Python, Perl, etc. is a plus, as well as experience in testing Equities/Options/Futures trading applications.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and communication skills are required, as you will be working closely with the QA team and other stakeholders.
  • Team Player: Must be a self-motivated, dynamic, organized, and responsible team player, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT/Computer Science is required.
  • Quality Assurance Experience: 3+ years of experience in software QA/testing is required, as well as 3+ years of experience with automated testing tools.
  • Trading Environment Experience: 1+ years of testing in a trading environment is also required.
