Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Inspector to join our team at ARCH Global Precision company. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify the physical properties and size of materials, including plates, sheets, castings, forgings, dies, fixtures, bar stock, and work produced by fabricating machines and secondary operations.
  • Inspect high-value, complex, and tightly toleranced parts accurately and dependably, utilizing mechanical and computerized inspection equipment.
  • Select and run CMM programs, evaluate data, and store results electronically.
  • Perform inspections to operation instructions or sampling plans, including up to 100% sampling, and sort and segregate discrepant parts.
  • Verify external documentation and complete internal paperwork accurately.
  • Use ERP SYSTEM to log in inspection results, enter time, maintain material lot codes, and identify job status.
  • Retrieve tools, gages, and kits per calibration schedule and create calibration documentation.
  • Maintain work areas using 5S principles and identify and select inspection techniques.
  • Actively identify and use alternative inspection techniques to validate results.
  • Create NMRR (NC/DMR) via ERP System and confer with engineers and production personnel to resolve quality problems.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; VoTech Trade school graduate preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in machine inspection tools and devices.
  • Minimum four years at Machining or three years of inspection experience required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and machine drawings, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Knowledgeable in Statistical Process Control and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5M.
  • Familiarity with CMM & Vision system software and experience with EPICOR ERP a plus.
