The individual will enhance the team's knowledge base and oversee the training of new employees and interns. This position is responsible for establishing departmental priorities to ensure timely completion of tasks.Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, select, develop, motivate, coach, train, assess, and reward a diverse group of Insurance Administrator team members.
- Collaborate with insurance leadership to determine regional sales and support requirements.
- Deliver clear and prompt communication and feedback to all team members regarding performance expectations.
- Foster a positive work atmosphere that utilizes the strengths and skills of team members to achieve organizational and team objectives.
- Facilitate regional team conference calls and assist with comprehensive team meetings.
- Work closely with other departments to manage all facets of client relationships.
- Organize team schedules to guarantee sufficient coverage.
- Travel to designated offices regularly.
- Ensure effective onboarding for new hires in partnership with the Insurance Development team.
- Serve as a liaison between the Insurance Administrator team and underwriters for the insurance company, overseeing the approval of insurance documents and other requests.
- Act as the intermediary between the Crop Insurance Sales and Insurance Administrator teams regarding underwriting guidelines, processes, and deadlines.
- Collaborate with insurance leadership on documents that are outstanding after submission deadlines.
- Supervise the reconciliation process of forms to be distributed to Insurance Officers.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, agriculture, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that enables the individual to perform the essential functions of the role.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in the crop insurance sector.
- A minimum of one year of leadership and management experience is preferred.
- An insurance license is mandatory.
- Advanced understanding of Crop Insurance products and requirements.
- Leadership abilities to select, evaluate, engage, motivate, mentor, train, delegate, reward, and lead remote team members.
- Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office applications and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Advanced client service and project management capabilities.
- Willingness to travel 2 to 3 days per month.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
