About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Athletic Performance Specialist to join our interdisciplinary sports medicine team at Premier Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing and coordinating sports performance and strength management programs, working closely with our AT managers, Sports and Human Performance Coordinator, Medical Directors, physicians, physical therapists, and orthopedic consultants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Properly assess, treat, and rehabilitate athletic injuries under the direction of a physician and standard operating procedures.
  • Responsible for registration, billing, and scheduling of clients.
  • Program coordination, protocol development, service promotion, and outreach, and the quality and productivity of the program for the integrated network.
  • State and health system compliance with the completion and maintenance of all documentation is expected for the incumbent and those employees operating within the program.
  • Provide exemplary customer service to all customers, family members, and other visitors.
  • Treat customers, family members, healthcare providers, and co-workers with courtesy and respect.
  • Provides community, customers, and family education.
  • Engages in interdisciplinary, collaborative communication with sports medicine team.
  • Participates in programs/service performance improvement activities.
Requirements
  • Current Athletic Trainer license in State of Ohio.
  • Current BLS certification required at the time of hire.
  • National Athletic Trainers Association certification.
  • National Strength and Conditioning Association Certification as Certified Strength Conditioning Specialist 12 months upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in related field.
  • 1-3 year's job-related experience.
