About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Resident to join our team at Hanger Clinic. As a Clinical Resident, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive prosthetic and orthotic care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with physicians to evaluate and analyze patient needs for prosthetic or orthotic services
  • Examine and evaluate patient needs in relation to disease and functional loss
  • Formulate design of prostheses/orthoses
  • Select materials/componentry, take cast/measurements, model rectifications/layouts
  • Perform fittings, including static and dynamic alignments
  • Evaluate prosthetic/orthotic device on patient and adjust to assure fit, function, medical efficacy, and quality of work
  • Instruct patient in use of prosthesis/orthosis
  • Identify and reconcile issues/problems to ensure patient satisfaction with device(s) provided
  • Provide follow-up with patients and physicians
  • Provide detailed clinical notes to patient records that support medical necessity
  • Provide information to administrative staff to conduct reimbursement activities
  • Provide in-service training to physicians and allied health care professionals
Requirements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or post-graduate Certificate in Orthotics and/or Prosthetics from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited college or university
  • Must have or be eligible to obtain a valid driver's license and driving record within the standards outlined in Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree and post-graduate Certificate in Orthotics and/or Prosthetics from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited college or university
