The welding technician will be adept in the setup and operation of essential hand tools, which include tape measures, straight edges, combination squares, torpedo levels, calipers, depth gauges, grinders, and cutting instruments.
Proficiency in utilizing stainless steel MIG wire in the short circuit mode, specifically in 'spray transfer' with trimix gas, is required.
This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities including fit-up, weld-out, weld repair, and post-weld cleaning. Collaboration with fellow team members is essential.
Effective communication skills are necessary to convey information and ideas clearly.
The welder will engage in physical activities that demand significant use of arms and legs, as well as overall body movement, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
Compensation
Successful candidates can expect a pay range of $20-$24 per hour, with opportunities for overtime in most weeks.
