Perioperative Services Job Description:

The Department of Perioperative Services at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse 2, Recovery Room. This role requires providing direct nursing care to patients in the recovery room and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to individuals in the recovery room.
  • Monitor and report changes in patient status to the healthcare team.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a perioperative setting.


Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
