We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist, NS35 NICU to join our team at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. This is a full-time position that requires a Master's Degree in Nursing and New York State Registered Nurse Licensure.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in the specialty, including some level of supervisory experience, and relevant certifications. They will serve as a content and clinical expert in the neonatal intensive care unit, collaborating effectively with the nursing staff to optimize patient care.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist will develop, implement, and evaluate standards of the specialty's nursing practice, guide subordinate nursing staff, and perform discharge planning. They will also work collaboratively with other members of the Nursing Department, other healthcare professionals, and services to ensure optimal care for patients.
About the SalaryThe salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
