Your Role: As an Electronics Technician focused on production, you will be tasked with assembling electronic components and necessary subassemblies for advanced laser systems.

This role involves soldering, adhering to established procedures, and interpreting schematics and technical drawings. Additionally, you will be responsible for the construction, integration, and testing of custom cable harnesses.

You will collaborate with a team of scientists, engineers, and technicians to assemble, test, and calibrate electronic systems for laser applications.

Your contributions will also include building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying both developmental and production electronic systems, either independently or under the guidance of an electrical or optical engineer.

Position Details: This is a full-time, non-exempt position based in our office.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with electronic testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, current clamps, AC/DC power supplies, and multimeters.
  • Ability to produce professional documentation and thoroughly document setups and testing results.
  • AA/AS in a Technical or Engineering field or a similar relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred, although significant relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.

Desired Skills:

  • Good communication skills and the ability to learn quickly in a dynamic work environment.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Proficient computer skills and soldering experience, particularly J-STD-001 certification.
  • Strong fine motor skills, capable of working on small assemblies under a microscope.

Selected candidates will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A successful criminal background check and a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug test are also required.
