Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Underwriter to join our Executive and Professional Liability practice in the Southeast Region D & O team in Atlanta, GA. This role will involve managing a book of business, establishing and developing broker and customer relationships, and underwriting complex and challenging risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and build upon a book of business that aligns with the team's strategic focus
  • Establish, develop, and expand on broker and customer relationships
  • Underwrite efficiently without compromising discipline, diligence, and quality service
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with agility and decisiveness
  • Underwrite to complex and challenging risks while developing creative solutions for our partners
  • Understand market conditions and respond accordingly
  • Be a positive reflection of the company by demonstrating integrity and leadership in the marketplace
  • Effectively communicate BHSI's value proposition to brokers and customers
  • Work closely with our in-house claims team to create a positive and transparent experience for our customers
  • Collaborate with teammates across all product lines
Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong technical skills in financial and stock analysis
  • Solid understanding of policy forms and coverage
  • Network of strong broker and client relationships
  • Collaborative and team-focused mentality
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience underwriting D&O, EPLI, Fiduciary and Fidelity
