BlueSky Property is the newest division of BlueSkyRisk, focused exclusively on mono-line property underwriting. We provide tailored solutions for retail brokers in the hospitality and real estate sectors, covering property risks such as bars, restaurants, nightclubs, hotels, motels, general entertainment, and offices.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Property Underwriter to help launch and grow our mono-line property program. This role offers the opportunity to underwrite a book of new and renewal business, manage opportunistic individual risks, build retail broker relationships, and influence technology and workflow improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwrite a portfolio of property-focused new and renewal business within the program's target sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail brokers, carrier partners, and reinsurers.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to refine underwriting technology and workflows.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of commercial property insurance underwriting experience, ideally in the E&S space.
  • Proven track record in property underwriting; experience with individual risk facultative reinsurance is a plus.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with retail brokers and carrier partners.
  • P&C producer license required (can be obtained after hire).
  • Bachelor's degree required.
