Job Title: Assistant Director of Athletics Communications and Digital Strategy

At CoSIDA, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Director of Athletics Communications and Digital Strategy. This role will play a critical part in shaping the athletic department's communications and digital media strategy, ensuring that our message is conveyed effectively to our audience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and digital media strategy for the athletic department, aligning with the university's mission and goals.
  • Collaborate with the athletic director, coaches, and staff to create engaging content, including written features, social media posts, and video highlights.
  • Manage and maintain the athletic department's website, social media accounts, and other digital platforms, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
  • Oversee the production of media guides, statistics, and other communications materials, working closely with designers and writers.
  • Develop and implement a social media outreach plan, engaging with fans, alumni, and other stakeholders to promote the athletic department's brand and events.
  • Provide media relations support, arranging interviews, and coordinating with media outlets to promote our teams and events.
  • Assist in the coordination of community outreach events, working with student-athletes and staff to promote the athletic department's commitment to community engagement.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and support to excel in their roles.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, with a master's degree preferred.
  • Three to five years of advanced employment experience in communication services and/or media relations, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, inspire, and lead others, with strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of digital media platforms, including social media, video editing software, and statistical software.
  • Ability to work night and weekend shifts, as required.
