Enhancing the lives of children and families through foundational learning, child growth, and community collaboration.

We are seeking an Early Childhood Education Instructor to provide and execute a developmentally suitable classroom experience for children enrolled in ECEAP and Head Start initiatives. This role involves a commitment of 40 hours per week, following a school year schedule. The compensation for fully qualified candidates is $22.40 per hour, while trainees will receive $21.44 per hour. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday during daytime hours.

Qualifications Required:

Education: An Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or a closely related field with 30 quarter/20 semester credits in ECE-related coursework.

Preferred Education/Experience: A Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or a closely related field with 30 quarter/20 semester credits in ECE-related coursework. One year of paid or formal volunteer/internship experience with children aged 3 to 5 in an early childhood environment.

Training plans may be considered based on qualifications.

Bi-lingual candidates are highly preferred.

Knowledge Required:
1. Understanding of child development principles and Early Childhood Curriculum planning.
2. Effective supervision techniques.
3. Current best practices in early childhood development and education.

Skills Required:
1. Ability to observe and assess children, setting individualized goals.
2. Prepare the classroom environment to cater to each child's educational needs.
3. Monitor each child's progress and integrate findings into the curriculum.
4. Collaborate effectively with staff and clients from diverse cultural, socio-economic, and educational backgrounds.
5. Maintain confidentiality of records and information.
6. Utilize a team approach to resolve issues or conflicts.
7. Exhibit professional and effective written and verbal communication skills; receive feedback constructively; demonstrate sound judgment.
8. Attend relevant staff meetings and training sessions as assigned.
9. Fulfill the physical demands of the role, including regular crouching, bending, kneeling, sitting on the floor to engage with children, and supervising outdoor play activities.
