Job Title: Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant

Join our team of dedicated professionals at Educational Services as we seek an Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant to provide on-site consultation services in early childhood and before/after school centers, as well as home-based programs and community-based child care programs. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with early learning providers, families, and systems to promote positive social and emotional development and prevent, identify, and reduce the impact of mental health challenges among children and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site consultation services to early learning providers, families, and systems to promote positive social and emotional development and prevent, identify, and reduce the impact of mental health challenges among children and families.
  • Work closely with early learning providers, families, and systems to develop and implement strategies to promote positive social and emotional development and prevent, identify, and reduce the impact of mental health challenges among children and families.
  • Collaborate with regional/community/tribal early learning and behavioral health partners to build connections and establish regional referral options for children, families, and providers.
  • Participate in Relationship-Based Professional Development regional meetings and regular reflective supervision with approved clinical supervisors.
Requirements:
  • Licensed by the Washington State Department of Health as a mental health counselor, marriage and family therapist, social worker, psychologist, psychiatrist, or psychiatric nurse; or approved by the Washington State Department of Health as an agency-affiliated or certified counselor, with a Master's Degree in counseling, social work, or related field; or credentialed by the Washington State Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction as a school counselor, social worker, or psychologist.
  • Experience working with young children birth-12 and a strong understanding of infant mental health principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including early learning providers, families, and systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and partnership-building.
