Job Summary

As a key member of our management team, you will be accountable for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, while developing and implementing quality standards across the continuum of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality standards for pulmonary care services across the continuum of care, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic plans.
  • Coordinate plans of treatment, customer-focused delivery of services, and cost-effective utilization of services, ensuring compliance with administrative, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with healthcare providers to develop, implement, and provide efficient pulmonary care services and outcomes.
  • Review best practice models, including systems development and cost-effective care delivery models, to improve quality and service to members.
  • Meet short and long-term financial goals by planning, developing, monitoring, adjusting, and evaluating annual budgets, identifying opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality of services.
  • Manage staff, ensuring they are fully competent in providing high-quality care to members, determining appropriate staffing to maintain service levels, and developing and presenting in-service programs.
Requirements
  • Four years of management experience in respiratory care, a multi-faceted healthcare system, multi-service provider setting, or academic setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in respiratory care, healthcare administration, nursing, business administration, or completion within two years or four years of equivalent experience in a related field.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner License (California) and Registered Respiratory Therapist Certificate.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting, staffing, systems, quality improvement, and clinical care delivery in an inpatient setting.
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree.
Work Environment
  • Full-time position with a 40-hour workweek.
  • Day shift with working hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • On-site work location at Kaiser Permanente's Walnut Creek Hospital.
