Position Overview:
The Human Resources Coordinator for Retail Operations serves as the key liaison for all retail associates. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including the management of payroll, benefits, and adherence to company policies and legal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate and timely compensation for new hires, transfers, and terminations.
- Verify compliance with all relevant State, Federal, and local documentation requirements.
- Conduct thorough audits of employee documentation to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Generate and review audit reports to maintain data integrity within the HR system.
- Interpret and enforce retail policies and procedures effectively.
- Manage changes to employee records promptly within the HR system.
- Assist in the administration of severance processes during store closures.
- Oversee and document all leaves of absence, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
- Facilitate accurate benefits enrollment and resolve any related issues.
- Coordinate the Annual Open Enrollment process, providing support to associates as needed.
- Streamline workers' compensation claims and ensure effective communication between all parties involved.
- Partner with management to address employee relations issues and ensure compliance with company policies and legal standards.
- Collaborate with the unemployment vendor to manage claims efficiently.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience in Human Resources is preferred.
Education: A college degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
Skills:
- Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) are advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and analytical.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with HR systems, particularly Workday, is a plus.
