Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company. As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting Environmentally Assisted Fatigue (EAF) and Metal Fatigue in our WESTEMS program. This program is a fatigue aging management software for monitoring plant transients and performing fatigue analysis.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop site-specific WESTEMS models
* Process data from operating plants to develop transient cycle counts and fatigue usage at monitored locations
* Support coding upgrades to the WESTEMS software to enhance its functionality and efficiency
* Provide ongoing customer support for use of the WESTEMS software, including software installation, training, and user group meetings
* Interface with external customers to define projects for commercial offers

Requirements
* Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering
* Minimum 8 years of applicable experience required; 10 plus year preferred
* Piping systems and component analysis
* Experience with ASME Section III and Section XI criteria preferred
* Experience with FEA and ANSYS/ABAQUS preferred
* Ability to learn quickly and display a strong attention to detail
* Nuclear plant primary systems knowledge preferred
