Job Title: Principal Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Project Engineer to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process for auxiliary equipment, valves, and turbine generators.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a small matrix team consisting of supply chain buyers, engineering, quality, logistics, and supplier performance engineering.
  • Oversee the procurement process from coordinating with engineering for component design to supplier request for quote, bid evaluation, purchase order placement, and delivery of assigned equipment.
  • Evaluate new and existing suppliers as requested by the delivery stream manager, including interfacing with customers, managing multiple projects, and reporting for future opportunities related to AP1000, AP300, eVinci, and other products within the energy systems portfolio.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical, electrical, civil, or power engineering.
  • Minimum 6 years of applicable experience required; 8 years preferred.
  • Experience in the power generation or nuclear industries is preferred, but not required.
  • Fluent in English; secondary language skills a plus but not required.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, primarily to Eastern Europe.
